Review

Innocent is a great character driven thriller that captivates the reader from the get go. It is full of twists and turns that grab your attention and doesn’t let go until the final page. It’s definitely a page turner as I devoured it in one sitting.

Tristan and his family are the celebrity darlings of Sterndale - beautiful and the perfect image of a family full of joy, Whilst at a local wedding Tristan disappears and is attacked - practical the whole town is present so there are plenty of people who could be the guilty party.

I really enjoyed getting to know Tristan and his family especially Izzy his second wife. I also want their house! I found her reactions to be believable and I wish I came across as that elegant and gorgeous. As the novel progressed you got to see Tristan’s character develop both in the past and the present. Obviously, in this type of book there are secrets and lies etc about this life, but I loved how his story was resolved at the end of the book. It was something that I was not expecting.

So the person who attacked Tristan - I kind of guessed who it was quite early on in the story, well just after half way. However, that didn’t put me off the narrative as you still need to find out the reasons why for their actions. I actually liked how it resolved itself.

I really enjoyed this book and if you get the chance to read don’t hesitate to pick it up.

‘An unputdownable thriller.’
