‘Over Her Dead Body’ is a fast paced, tightly plotted psychological thriller that will having you devouring it in a few sitting as it is fabulous! This is my first book from Tim Adler but it won't be the last as I was hooked right left and centre with this one. It is well written, completely believable and very tense.
This is one book where you can't really talk much about the plot other than it's focus is a young mum Keisha who is in a controlling relationship with her old therapist. When she is arrested for his murder she claims innocence and says it was her old nurse from when she was sectioned that killed him. But when the police can't find any trace of nurse Myra, Keisha takes matters into her own hands and decides to smuggle herself into her old unit where she was sectioned as a teenager to find proof of her existence!
I loved the main character Keisha and it was clear that the author has done a lot of research when it comes to the topics surrounding her mental health and relationships. As someone who has a member of their family with some of these issues, I can say it came across as highly authentic and rang very true! I particularly enjoyed Tim’s writing and it enabled me to fly through the chapters as I was desperate to find out the ending!
