Does an ancient coven hold the key to solving a murder?

Few tears are shed when the unpopular manager of the annual Seacastle Vintage Fair meets a sinister end. But local sleuth Tanya Bowe is thrust into the heart of the investigation when her friend, Grace Wong, finds herself under scrutiny for the murder.

When Tanya’s investigation uncovers a suspicious death in the same family, all bets are off. She navigates dark undercurrents of greed and betrayal as she uncovers a labyrinth of potential suspects associated with an ancient coven. Nothing is as it seems, and every clue adds extra complications. To solve the case, Tanya must answer one main question.

Did someone hate the victim enough to kill her, or was greed the stronger motive?

In this captivating British small-town cozy mystery, a maze of potential suspects, each with their own motives and secrets, will keep you guessing until the very end.

If you relish seaside settings, intricate mysteries, and a touch of wit, secure your copy now and join Tanya on her quest to unravel the truth.

Review

‘Mortal Vintage’ is a brilliant cosy crime packed full of mystery and misdirections! This is the fifth book in the Seacastle Mysteries but it can be easily read as a standalone. I do recommend reading the whole series though as they are cracking reads and as a reader, you get to enjoy the character development. I can't believe we are on book five already, it seems like yesterday when we were introduced to Tanya and the gang and it now feels as if you are catching up with good friends when you start a new story together! When that happens you know you have a brilliant series.

In this outing, we find out a lot more about Grace and her husband Max, who before this book have been more on the sidelines. I had always been intrigued about Grace and her more ‘upmarket’ shop so learning about her background was a lovely treat. Although, Tanya might have released a crime-solving monster!

‘Mortal Vintage’ has two main themes - antiques and witches. Random but highly engaging and how they intertwined into one clear narrative was creatively written. It was a pretty unique version of a coven as well and it captured my interest. I flew through this in one day, it was a real page-turner. PJ has managed to create a very special cosy crime series and it will be one that I will return to over and over!

Let me know if you pick this one up!
