Review
‘The Family Secret’ is the follow-up to ‘The Christmas Party’ and for myself, it was a highly anticipated read as these sisters are messed up! It did not disappoint as it was jam-packed full of secrets, lies, intrigue and high Jinks. Plus it was in a gorgeous Alpine ski resort! However, it can be read as a standalone as the majority of the background is supplied by the author in this book. I would recommend reading the first book though as it was an excellent read and really does set up the story for this book!
Three sisters, one luxury vacation and one murder! It was meant to be the perfect escape for sisters Sasha, Erin and Leah. A chance to heal from their wounds and bond as a family once more. Sasha is a woman on the edge, Erin has the most to lose and Leah isn't as innocent as she looks. But just as their holiday has started a body is found in a chalet nearby to them. Do they have anything to do with it and why?
This book is just as crazy as the first one and I loved it! It was a treat being able to revisit these sisters go had definitely a lot to hide from each other and I knew the calm pleasant holiday wasn't going to last for long! This is an engrossing read and I devoured it in one sitting as I just needed to get to the end and find out what happened! There was one aspect of the story I definitely wasn't expecting and normally I manage to cotton on with plotlines but this time I was shocked! It's a tense and atmospheric read and really uses its location to best advantage - a murderer’s playground. It was a brilliant read!
Let me know if you pick this one up!
